Using TaxQuay
We aim for people to be able to zoom text, navigate with a keyboard, use clear headings and labels, understand validation messages and access the site on mobile and desktop screens. Colour is not intended to be the only way that important status information is communicated.
Accessibility target
Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. The public site includes a skip link, semantic landmarks, visible focus behaviour, reduced-motion support and responsive layouts.
Known limitations
The current sandbox product is still being assessed. Complex VAT tables, imported transaction reviews and some dynamically updated status messages may require further assistive-technology testing. We are also reviewing text contrast, error summaries and mobile keyboard journeys across the application.
What we are doing
- Testing core journeys with keyboard-only navigation and screen readers.
- Reviewing form labels, focus order, error messages and confirmation dialogs.
- Testing at 200% and 400% zoom and across narrow mobile layouts.
- Adding automated accessibility checks to release testing.
- Planning an independent WCAG Level AA review before production launch.
Accessibility feedback
If you cannot access part of TaxQuay or need information in another format, email admin@taxquay.com. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, the device or assistive technology used and the format you need. Do not include sensitive tax data.
